1. A cat can jump as high as 7 times its height!
2. Cats always immediately bathe themselves after each meal because their instincts tell them to get the food scent off them so predators cannot sniff them out!
3. Cats have 5 toes on each front paw, but only 4 toes on each back paw! When a cat has more than 18 toes, it is called a Polydactyl. We are lucky enough to have a polydactyl client- Maui!!
4. Dogs are not color blind; they can see in shades of blue, yellow, green and gray. The color red registers on a gray-scale in a dog’s vision.
5. Dogs only sweat from the bottom of their feet, so the only way they can discharge heat is by panting. So be careful when playing with your dog in excessive heat, especially dogs with short snouts!
6. Most Dogs have 100 different facial expressions, most of them made with the ears. There are only a couple of breeds that have less than that, and that is the bulldog and the pitbull. They have about 10 facial expressions only! Therefore, these dogs easily get misinterpreted by other dogs and often get into fights.
